What about RssOwl?
Blogbridge http://www.blogbridge.com looks promising.
There's also JNN, James Gosling's (fairly minimal) offering. With a bit of luck Henry Story will RDF/OWLify it in the near future.
I've done two different Java readers myself, but neither is worth passing along ;-)
http://java-source.net contains a list of RSS tools: http://java-source.net/open-source/rss-rdf-tools
You may want to look at Caterpillar. It's not incredibly full featured at the moment, but it does have Bayesian filtering for articles - to highlight the ones that will interest you the most.
