Atom Protocol: draft-ietf-atompub-protocol-08

The latest draft of the Atom Publishing Protocol is now available, draft-ietf-atompub-protocol-07.

Dave calls out the main change - URI templates are dropped in favour of next/previous paging of entries. Another change is minor but critical - the examples are now valid Atom. The previous draft showed invalid Atom. The invalid Atom was put in as a barbaric YAWP to highlight an issue around clients being able to populate an Atom entry's required elements (esp. atom:link and atom:id) . The point's now been made.

There are bugs in 07 - the example and schema in section 7 still refer to URI templates, and IRIs are specified in the context of HTTP instead of URIs (for HTTP IRIs should be mapped down to URIs before use) - in fact IRIs are specced across the board. Personally I find thisIRI/URI/URL stuff stupifyingly annoying, but that's from a spec-writing viewpoint.
